Getting around

Airports: Dalaman—55km Antalya—230km Bodrum—255km

Bus services.

Dolmus mini bussesRegular bus services run between the airports and Fethiye, as well as to other local and major towns. They are very reasonably priced, and are of a good standard. The local dolmus services are an economical and speedy mode of transportation by minibuses with 14-18 seating capacity. You can get on or off a dolmus at any place where traffic allows. A dolmus runs from the main town of Fethiye to Uzumlu approximately every hour during the summer months. A boat dolmus service runs from the harbour to Calis beach and Chevalier Island.

Taxis.

Turkish yellow CabAs in all cities in Turkey, the commercial cars working as taxis are yellow, and can be easily found at the main taxi stands along the waterfront. Taximeters are installed, but fares can vary and it is wise to ask the price prior to making your journey.

Car and scooter hire

There are many car hire companies in the town of Fethiye at prices similar to UK rates. Prices include insurance and tax. You will be required to produce your driving licence for hiring a car.

Scooter Hire. Scooters are cheap to hire and do not require insurance. However, before hiring please check that your licence covers you to drive a scooter as police checks are often carried out.

Activities Further afield — there are many different types of activity and sight-seeing trips available. This area has something for everyone, and offers a wide range of activities and places to visit, depending on your individual choice.
