Climate
Fethiye is surrounded by the south-western end of the Taurus mountains. The altitude of these mountains reaches some 2000m and even in the summer months it is possible to see snow high on the mountain tops. However, the town of Fethiye and the surrounding area enjoys a Mediterranean climate, and at the height of the summer the temperature is usually between 30-40 degrees with virtually no rainfall between June and September. The sea water is never below 17 degrees at any time of the year, and in summer reaches around 26 degrees.
Being almost 800m above sea level, the air temperature at Woodlands Villa tends to be a few degrees lower than in Fethiye, giving welcome relief from the heat and humidity of the town.
